India is a country of many cultures and traditions having people of various cultures and religions. India is a vast land with extraordinary traditions still in prevalence since ancient era. The real India is seen in the rural areas which actually seize the originality of the land’s old traditions and rituals. Visits to the Indian villages let meet the original India and its original cultures. Although, today’s modern amenities have stretched to villages also. The villagers are building up modern houses and adopting modern living. But the traditions are still existing among them.

As many ancient rituals and traditions still exist in India, the traditional dressing of the country is seen everywhere in every part of the country. The most common female traditional dress of India ‘sari’ still exists and counted as a remarkable regular fashion of females. It’s length is around 05-08 meters and width is 25-50 inches. This attire can be found in the history of women wear in the period of Jainism and Budhism. This culture of wearing sari is a long history of about thousands of years. With the change of time in every century, the culture of wearing and designing sari went on changing. It is a garment which is most favourite and common in women of India in every state and religion. Its varieties vary from state to state and wearing mode changes from north to south. But it is true to mention that it is a most used garment among women of India.

Sari is a daily used garment of many village women and it is a special dress for ceremonies for many. It is used by women specially in ceremonies, festivals, small family functions. Being a traditional attire, it is also a modern dress famous everywhere in the world. Foreign females who are fascinated towards Indian cultures, too are interested in wearing sari which form the base for the expansion of its business. For the business point of view, its business is profitable and seems never ending. Many formals, many fabrics , many varieties, many designs, many colours, many outlooks, goes in varieties bringing uplifting of its business profitably. All for sari is just a passion for women clothing. It is a passionable unique apparel for women who wear it for pride and respect as it represents the original culture of India and oldest tradition of Indian culture. This attire is a love of women of India even for Indian NRI women residing in foreign countries. One most unique identity of woman in sari is that she is from India. There is no need to state that woman in sari is an Indian woman.

Sari is a common business for many artisans in India. They are perfect in their art of manufacturing and designing this apparel. It has been a business as a family business for many artisans for many decades. Its glow can be seen not only in India but also in international fashion shows. This Indian attire is worn by foreign females in abroad interestingly. There is an entire hold of this trend of clothing among females of India and they are completely in affection with it. This has been a long lasting garment and its timely new designs and fabrics maintain and increase love for it. This garment is a formal and official dress of India. In big private and governmental ceremonies, sari is a mark of reputed official dress for females. High rank female delegates wear saris in official meetings representing their Indian culture and granting it the reputation of an official garment.

Sari is not just a dress, it is a symbol of Indian women attire and sense of traditional clothing. It is an ancient clothing which is holding Indian old tradition. It is providing a long lasting business profession to lakhs of artisans and people related to its business. It has a vast scope for fashion designers and artists applying different art on the fabric. Its business is day by day growing seeking more attention by new upcoming business seeking youngsters. As it is a regular dress for Indian women, it is a common and daily use of apparel in India. Every status of women wear sari and its never ending interest makes it favourite among new growing females.
