        Rishikesh

Rishikesh, a holy city in the north state called Uttarakhand in Bharat in the foothills of the Himalayas. Rishikesh is also famous because it is the starting point of journey for holy places named Shri Badrinath, Shri Kedarnath, Shri Hemkunth Sahib, Shri Gaumukh, Shri Yamnotri, Shri Neelkanth. It is a holy city through which the holy river Ganga flows. The city famous for meditation studies is traffic free, pollution free, alcohol free and vegetarian enclave. This city is a beautiful place to stay and meditate as it is surrounded by mountains and the holy river Ganga blesses the soul and spiritualism at its utmost. The view around the city when mountains are covered by grey clouds looks gorgeous and artistic. It soothes the conscience being at the bank of river Ganga. Any time any day whether it is winter or summer season, visit at Rishikesh is marvelous and complete pleasing and comfy/pleasure economy. It is a small city having many inns where rooms are available at cheap rents. The city has a beautiful attractive outlook from above the hill. A world’s meditation place where not only the people of Bharat but from abroad visit to feel the intense spiritual environment spread all around. Sitting near the holy river Ganga is extremely the peace of mind defending from the worldly stresses. The prayerful ceremony of Goddess River Ganga is fabulous and is proud to watch the showering of Sanatan Dharma’s spiritual blessings all around. Being attending the aarti, one inhales the real energy of sanctified Sanatan.  Aarti word is said to be derived from the ancient Vedic period conducted in the honour of God to please him and receive his blessings.

Rishikesh is a small city having all modern facilities equipped with modern life style. Famous Shri Laxman Jhula, Shri Ram Jhula, Shri Janki Jhula are in this city over holy river Ganga. To reach other side of the river, these three Jhulas are the medium. The transportation facilities for the tourists and pilgrims are excellent. Hotels and restaurant serve good food at normal affordable cost. Other than inns, there are hotels too if someone wants to stay at hotel. The first stay basically for long tourists and pilgrims is Rishikesh who further want to visit the holy places located at higher altitudes. A finest place at lower altitude where everyone can visit and view the natural spiritual blessing of God is this city. The nearest historical temple of God Shiv is located around 25 kms far from Rishikesh. It is the temple where God Shiv is said to have meditated for thousands of years after consuming poison emerged through sea churn. His throat turned blue because of its effect. God Shiv received relief at this place. That’s why it is called ‘Neelkanth’. It is one of the famous ancient temples of God shiv where lakhs of people visit in a short term of time.

Rishikesh is a beautiful city having other famous cities near it like Haridwar and Dehradun. This city is open whole the year round for tourists and pilgrims. One more of the most important factors of visiting tourists here is the rafting. Many people visit here for rafting and enjoy a long rafting from above Rishikesh to Haridwar. Facilities for this are available at an affordable charge. The above holy places are blocked in winters as high snowfall lowers the level of oxygen and roads are blocked with snow. This is a best place at lower altitude where it is easy to visit and feel the energy of meditation and have blessing view of the holy river Ganga.
